Ever since her days at Calvin College, Betsy DeVos has been involved in trying to change the status quo and helping her community. This has led to her being an advocate for school vouchers and charter schools. She has served on the boards of several charitable organizations. Her endeavors also led to her jumping into the political realm, which included a stint as chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Party and now the Secretary of Education in President Donald Trump’s cabinet.
On her website, Betsy DeVos is described as a pioneer whose goal is to remove barriers and create environments to help people thrive. She believes this means giving parents more choices in how their children are educated. To that end, DeVos served as chairwoman of the Alliance for School Choice which, along with supporting school vouchers, also gives tax credits to businesses that offer private school scholarships. She and her husband Dick, an entrepreneur and former gubernatorial candidate in Michigan, helped with the passage of a charter schools bill in that state in 1993. DeVos also set up a foundation to provide scholarships to poor families. She also wants to see technology used more in the classroom, citing her own experience in school. DeVos said in an interview with Philanthropy Roundtable that she was bored in school, and kids today must be bored as well when they have to check their phones and devices at the classroom door. DeVos explains that technology and learning programs could make education fun. As Secretary of Education, DeVos said she wants to see more focus put on community colleges and providing more federal financial aid for year round students.

Along with her work in the education field, DeVos is heavily involved with many charitable organizations. She previously headed up the American Federation for Children and the Philanthropy Roundtable. DeVos also served on the boards of ArtPrize, the DeVos Institute for Arts Management, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The DeVos Foundation, created by her and her husband, not only supports educational programs and groups, but also donates money to hospitals, health research programs, the arts, and free market think tanks.

People have busy lives. They don’t have time to shop for the perfect outfit, much less the perfect outfit to head to the gym in. Time spent shopping could be better spent on things like going to the gym or enjoying your life. Fabletics helps streamline shopping for workout gear and makes it easy and affordable to get the stylish outfits that you are looking for. The goal at Fabletics is to inspire people to live and enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. Their clothing helps people achieve that goal and the easy shopping they provide to their customers gives them back more time to enjoy their lives.
Fabletics launched in 2013, when Kate Hudson, along with the other founders, saw that there was something lacking in the workout apparel industry. There were plenty of expensive brands that people could purchase, but they were out of reach for most people. There were a few affordable brands, but the quality was lacking and they would fall apart after only a few workouts. Fabletics set out to bridge the two worlds by offering quality and stylish workout apparel at a price that people could actually afford. They started with a monthly subscription membership business model that has proven wildly successful, and turned Fabletics into a multimillion dollar business.
After finding such success online, even with heavyweights like Amazon dominating the online apparel industry, Fabletics has decided to open physical stores. They are using a reverse showroom technique to sell their apparel in store and online. When their customers shop in store, the items also go into their online shopping cart. Then they can choose to purchase it later, if they wish. When many stores are losing business to online stores who sell the items cheaper, it doesn’t matter to Fabletics whether their customers purchase online or in store. They simply are offering another level of customer service to their members. Their stores also get to know the styles and trends of the communities that they serve, making it easier to know what outfits to offer their customers. Their store also helps boost their online membership by signing up a fourth of those who enter their stores to become monthly members.
The reason that their members come back month after month is the great quality and service that they receive. Kate Hudson makes sure that all the outfits offered are the latest trends and styles available in the marketplace. The quality can be compared to that of the expensive brands, at a fraction of the cost. They are so soft and comfortable, you will want to wear them in your daily life, not just to the gym. You will find that Fabletics clothing retains its shape, compression, and color after many times through the washing machine. You will be sure to be looking fantastic and have the support you need for many workouts to come. Thanks to the quiz you take when you sign up, the website and offerings will be customized to your preferences and lifestyle, making shopping quick and easy.
The Atlanta Hawks Entertainment and Baskteball LLC, the former group owning NBA franchise, filed a lawsuit against New Hemisphere Insurance Company for involvement in Contract breach on the settlement claims by Danny Ferry, the former general manager.
The former ownership group of the Hawks (AHBE) encompassed Bruce Levenson, the controlling partner. The lawsuit had nothing to do with the current ownership of Hawk led by Tony Ressler, the principle owner. The litigation, filed in the Fulton County Superior Court on Sept, 13 against New Hemisphere Insurance Firm, is a civil lawsuit for contract breach and assurance stale faith. AHBE claims that his company was insured a policy that would cover his business for certain losses regarding “Workplace Torts” and “Wrongful Termination.” According to the documents in court, AHBE gave notice to the insurance company on April 2, 2015, that the claims were asserted by Ferry that was thought to be covered.
Hawks and Ferry ownership reached an agreement on June 22, 2015, reports ESPN, finishing the six-year relationship, 2012, $18 million relationships. The approval for the sale of the franchise to the group led by Ressler came two days later. According to the current Hawks ownership spokesman: “We are conscious of the protest. The involved parties have no ties to Atlanta Hawks, and we have no further comment regarding this matter.”
According to the documents in court, the amount of the lawsuit is confidential. The litigation states that the policy liability confidential limits are sufficient in playing AHBE’s claim.
Bruce Levenson is the United Communications Group (UGC) Partner and Co-Founder. Mr. Bruce Levenson is also Atlanta Spirit, LLC. Owner. He co-founded UGC in 1977 with Mr. Ed Peskowitz. Before founding UGC, he authored for Observer Publishing and Washington Star. He has also directed TechTarget, Inc. He is also an active philanthropist, states PR Newswire.
